This weekend’s sunshine got my kids outdoors- how will I get out those grass stains?

Mix baking soda and vinegar into a paste, and gently work the paste in from the back side of the fabric. Let sit 15 minutes. Rinse with cold water, again from the back, repeat if necessary. Then wash as usual!

What kind of vinegar for grass stains?

And what about the mud? I get earth ground into the grass when she slides down a grassy bank at school!!!! hate white school shirts.

    • Hi Sarah, thank you for your enquiry. In the UK you will need to find White Spirit Vinegar to use. As for the mud, allow to dry and scrap or brush off before tackling it. Then sponge any remaining marks with 1/4 tsp Washing Up Liquid (Dishwashing Liquid in Canada) in 1/2 cup of warm water with a few drops of ammonia added. Then wash as usual in warm water. If any stain persists, blot it with a cloth dipped in isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol). I hope this helps!
