Well, it worked! My husband has been complaining about the musty (I think sweaty) smell of some of his shirts. I got a reminder from my friend Christine about the front load washers, and their tendancy to smell if the door is not left open for a day after you use it. (Still confused about why they can’t make washing machines that don’t smell, when we can put tourists into space!)

First, I did an (empty load) hot wash with a cup of vinegar in my front loading washing machine. Then I put in my husband’s smelly clothes, closed the door and put a cup of vinegar in the wash slot. No detergent! Then put it on a light soil wash, on cold. After this I did a second cold wash with our Diva Laundry Balls. Voila! No more smelly clothes!

Yeah glad it worked! In our last house I fought with the musty smell in our washer constantly b/c I didn’t know that the drum needed to dry out! Our new washer has a silver care feature which is awesome! I press that button 1-2 times a week and it wases the load with silverballs built into the washer, which of course are antibacterial!!
